I’ve been pondering something. In my youth, I was always looking around. I can still remember seeing things with awe, whether a sunset or a skateboard. And I have and uncle who was always looking around: up in the air at birds, around at the garden, and so forth, sometimes commenting on things he saw. I guess, I would consider him a positive person.
Some time back, I saw a movie about the television industry. There was this one producer who explained that negativity motivates more than positive, which then provides reason for so much we see. That’s why I’ve told people, some who not happy, to get out of their Smart phones, televisions, and computers. That also might be why so many people are addicted to their Smart phones. They’re allowing something outside themselves to be their motivation. So, the question has to be what is motivating them? It’s not their own interests. Not really.
I have relatives who are never online in any form. Television yes, but I think in small doses. And they have a much more interesting perspective, more understanding, and see things my Smart phone people don’t see.
I read up a little about negative motivation. I would encourage others to do so. It’s fear, upset, and so forth. In a way, they lose the ability to be positively motivated which is a far better experience, life, and probably lessens mental illness. I wonder how many mental illness experts would lose their jobs if everyone got off computers, smart phones, and so forth. How many doctors would lose their jobs, including medicines, if people were positive, found things of interest on their own, and therefore didn’t get sick. Negativity, unhappiness, upsets, are key to many of the illnesses we see today. The body is attacking itself. Why? Because too many people follow what is unhappy. Let’s not do that.
Look at the sky, day and night, and wonder. Look at the birds and butterflies. Find a hobby, perhaps wood working or fishing. Talk to each other outside. Allow natural and healthy curiosity to take place.
