It’s quite a conundrum. From the time I was little, until now, the country, and world, went through an incredible revolution downwards. I do understand, from observations, monitoring, and hearing people talk, how it happened, but at the same time, my mind doesn’t believe it could have happened, at least, not so fast.
You see, I grew up with the idea of common sense, being responsible, integrity, and that success is a fantastic word of which “you,” the person involved, gets to work hard to achieve, thankful for the opportunity to work hard and achieve. I didn’t always follow that, but with time, I firmly saw the value and got on board.
We are so very fortunate to have the president we have today. As I told my friend: everything I saw that would turn the ship around and head towards responsibility, integrity, and success came true. With President Donald Trump, Vice President Trump, and his staff, all the signs are pointing in the right direction. And we have the hope of better tomorrows.
I hope more and more people read about the foundations of this country, learn what the conditions in Europe were that led people to leave and hope for a better tomorrow, also for their own families and future generations. I hope more and more people read the U.S. Constitution, but really read and understand, and coordinate it with the federalist papers. Learn all that George Washington and the people of his time went through just for the hope of what we have today.
I haven’t said this in awhile, but it bears repeating. Common sense. Integrity. Freedom of religion. Our nation was founded upon Judeo-Christian principles, and the founding fathers prayed before meetings. Traditional family values. Hard work. Love of one’s neighbors. Don’t wait for the government to help. We do it. And as long as you are able, put the onus of responsibility and hope for success on your own shoulders. That’s where self-esteem comes from. And always hope.
What we are seeing today is nothing less than hope realized. And the way President Trump talks is something all too many of us have forgotten. He has confidence: confidence borne of upbringing, success, and hard work, along with daring to go where others wouldn’t. He speaks as he does because he is confident, but that confidence is earned because he’s doing the right things. And so is his team. And when he sees us succeed, he mentions that. I’ve heard him tell others “Good for you.” It’s okay to succeed and be happy about that, also remembering to take care of others and encourage them to succeed.
Oh, I do remember my youth. I only wish I had listened better so it didn’t take as long. But with time, I got it. And my hopes are that more and more people see, realize, and get on board.
Love is a very good word. Love thy neighbor.
